CLASS ACTIVITY: Favorite Photo Enhanced, Printed, Displayed and Reviewed (no score)

1: Choose Your Favorite Photo

Look through all the photos you've submitted for assignments and choose your favorite one. Make sure you have a Photoshop File, 8" X 10" at 200 to 300 ppi.

2: Enhance Your Photo in Photoshop

Using the tools we've learned, asking classmates or the instructor for help, get the image to look exactly as you want it to on your computer monitor. Now select the Proofing Profile for the paper you will be printing on. Make final adjustments.

3: Print Your Photo on the Canon Inkjet Printer

4: Display Your Photo

Everyone will hang their color prints on the front board using putty (won't damage your print). I will then label them with numbers.

5: Review Everyone's Photos

Take some time to look over the photos and jot down your three favorites on a piece of paper. Make sure to note them in order of preference: your favorite, second favorite and third favorite.

6: Enter Your Choices in this Survey

In this Ungraded Quiz (Survey) choose your three favorite photos by entering the number of each photo for your favorite, your second favorite and your third favorite.

7:  Exhibit Your Photos

There are many opportunities for exhibiting your photos, both here on campus and elsewhere. The Student Gallery usually has a student art show at least once a year. There may be a display of photography in the Library. Also there are several competitive exhibitions I can tell you about if you are interested.

NOTE TO MYSELF: To report the results, click "Statistics" then "Student Analysis." This exports results to Excel. Sort by Favorite column (eyeball which one was chosen most frequently), then do the same for 2nd Favorite, then 3rd Favorite columns.
